Want a new secret to losing weight? Try drinking some water.
Staying hydrated is good no matter what.  Dr. Tammy Chang, an assistant professor in the department of family medicine at the University of Michigan Medical School, studies suggest that of 10,000 adults ages 18 to 64 shows that staying hydrated by drinking water helps with weight management along with increase intake of water-laden foods such as cucumbers, celery, watermelon, raw broccoli and carrots, plums, apples and peaches .  Being hydrated not only helps with weight management, but studies have shown is an ideal way to help manage headaches, constipation, kidney problems as well as maintaining your mental, physical and emotional health.

How much water should you take or need?

It depends on your size and weight as well as your activity level and where you live.  “A bigger person needs more water than a smaller person to stay hydrated,” says Chang.  The health authorities recommended eight 8-ounces glasses, which equals to about 2 liters, or half a gallon.  One should try to drink between half an ounce and an ounce of water for each pound you weigh, every day.  For instance, if you weigh 150lbs, that would be 75 to 150 ounces of water a day.
